Negative
Negative Eugenics.
More than 60,000 people sterilized in America.
More than 6,000,000 people killed in Nazi concentration camps.
Criminals, physical handicapped, mentally handicapped, homosexuals, political dissidents, cultural vagrants, the ethnically unwanted, gypsies, perverts, paupers, epileptics, imbeciles, morons, degenerates. People.
Hitler is the best and most well known example of negative eugenics. Even today the horror and evil of the holocaust turns peoples minds away. There are people today, despite a horrendous amount of very clear evidence, who do not believe that such a terrible thing could happen. It did.
If you still struggle with that though, let me paint a different picture. Negative eugenics is the taking away of those that are unfit. In a supposed world of survival of the fittest, negative eugenics seeks to speed up the process of ‘killing off of the weak’.
Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, once said, “no child should be left unwanted.” She was a strong believer in eugenics. This is the true meaning of that quote. ‘If a child is not wanted, it should not be.’ Planned Parenthood is the leading provider of abortions in the United States of America.
Every day, about 3,700 unborn babies die in America. Every day. That means every three seconds another baby is dead.
People get abortions for many reasons. Very few get them for the sake of eugenics. But abortion is an instrument of negative eugenics.
Negative Eugenics lowers the worth of the human being. True, it heightens the worth of the so called “worthy”, but who gets to determine who the truly worthy is? According to Hitler, the Jews were the unworthy ones, but do you truly know why Hitler chose the Jews?
“The mightiest counterpart to the Aryan is represented by the Jew. In hardly any people in the world is the instinct of self-preservation developed more strongly than in the so-called ‘chosen’......What an infinitely tough will to live and preserve the species speaks from these facts!” ~Adolph Hitler
Then why did he hate them? Competition.
“If we pass all the causes of the German collapse in review, the ultimate and most decisive remains the failure to recognize the racial problem and especially the Jewish menace.” ~Adolph Hitler
He chose the Jews because in his mind, they were the Aryan’s greatest contender. The second best race. So who chooses who is worthy and who is unworthy?
Ultimately eugenics leads to a demotion of human worth. Human life is cheapened and horrid acts that are unimaginable then become imaginable, even warranted.
All life is precious. And Eugenics is an evil that needs to be fought. Positive, negative, and all forms of it.
