Dewey's Schools
Dr. Chester Pierce (Harvard Professor of Education and Psychology) - “Every child who enters school at the age of five is mentally ill because he enters school with an allegiance toward our elected officials, our founding fathers, our institutions, the preservation of this form of government that we have, patriotism, nationalism, sovereignty. All this proves that the children are sick, because a truly well individual is one who has rejected all of those things, and is what I would call the true international child of the future.”
He is a professor of education? And he said that!? Unfortunately it is not all that uncommon. Aldous Huxley had six goals for education in America according to Brannon Howse’s Book ‘Grave Influence’ - 1)Rewrite history to discredit nationalism and promote globalism, 2) teach thinking skills based upon feeling and experience, not facts and reason, 3)encourage loyalty to peers and teachers, not family and church, 4) immerse students in global beliefs and values, 5) block opposition to the new global paradigm, 6) condition students to serve a ‘greater whole’.
The book also has a quote from Lynn Cheney about some of the new national standards for history. A liberal, revisionistic vise. - “Imagine an outline of American history in which George Washington makes only a fleeting appearance and is never described as our first president. Or in which the founding of the Sierra Club and the National Organization of Woman are considered noteworthy events, but the first gathering of the US Congress is not. Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Jonas Salk and the Wright Brothers make no appearance at all. The midnight ride of Paul Revere also went unmentioned and the Lincoln’s ‘Gettysburg Address’ is only mentioned once. Yet, the American Federation of Labor is mentioned nine times.” (The Sierra Club is a radical environmental group, the NOW is a radical feminist group, and the AFL is a socialistic union right’s group.)
What is going on with our schools system? John Dewey, the father of modern education. That is what is happening.
Brannon Howse - “When the Nazi’s came to power in Germany, many members of the Frankfurt School (communistic school) conveniently found refuge in America at the invitation of John Dewey... Dewey saw the opportunity to place these Marxists at leading colleges and universities around the country. He and his cohorts specifically targeted education and media as the means by which to inculcate their worldview into american culture.” (emphasis added).
Communism/Socialism in schools? Seriously? Come on.
John Stormer - “Fabians (Socialists) worked for world revolution not through uprising of the workers but through indoctrination of young scholars. The Fabians believed that eventually these intellectual revolutionaries would acquire power and influence in the official and unofficial opinion-making and power-wielding agencies of the world. Then they could quietly establish a socialistic, one-world order.”
John Dewey. Father of modern education. Let me rewrite that title. John Dewey. Signer of the Humanist Manifesto.
In John Dewey’s ‘Pedagogic Creed’, he stated - “I believe the true center of correlation on the school subjects is not science, nor literature, nor history, nor geography, but the child’s social activities.
“I believe that the only true education comes through the stimulation of the child’s power by the demands of the social situation in which he finds himself. Through these demands he is stimulated to act as a member of a unity, to emerge from his original narrowness of action and feeling and to conceive himself rom the standpoint of the welfare of the group...
“I believe, finally, that the teacher is engaged, not simply in the training of individuals, but in the formation of the proper social life.” (Emphasis added)
Proper social life? Let me give another famous Dewey quote - “There is no God and no soul. Hence, there are no needs for the props of traditional religion. With dogma and creed excluded, then immutable (unchangeable) truth is also dead and buried. There is no room for fixed, natural law, or permanent moral absolutes.”
If that is Dewey's philosophy, what is his definition of 'proper social life'?
Brannon Howse puts it quite eloquently, “...humanists have ushered Christianity out the front door and the humanism of John Dewey in through the back door. So if you like where America’s education system is headed, you can thank John Dewey.”
But with that thanks comes a warning.
Here is a quote from Harper’s Magazine on Hillary Clinton’s views. See if it looks familiar.
“The traditional family is, for the most part, an institution in need of therapy, an institution that stands in the way of children’s rights - an obstacle to enlightened adults... She condemns the State’s assumption that parental responsibilities, not because she has any faith in parents themselves but because she is opposed to the principle of parental authority in any form... Her writings leave the unmistakable impression that it is the family that holds children back; it is the state that sets them free.”
Fathers, Mothers, you are the problem. The state is the answer. The socialistic state. The world state. The new order. Do you believe that?
